Our Strategy For Your Safety:
Lake Geneva Self-Defense is currently based on the research from Tony Baluer’s Tactical Confrontation Management System (BTMS). Baluer is an industry leader in self defense because of his development of the Spontaneous Protection Enabling Accelerated Response System or S.P.E.A.R. for short. Designed around the model of close quarter combat training, this system focuses on surviving ambush street attacks.
How the S.P.E.A.R System Works:
S.P.E.A.R. is the study of human movement as it relates to violence, fear, and aggression. When, for instance, the body feels attacked in any way, it responds with certain reflexive, instinctive movements. The S.P.E.A.R. System utilizes this startle/flinch response to sudden assaults to create a platform from which an individual can first react and then respond to an assault. The S.P.E.A.R. System will teach individuals how to convert their instinctive reactions into protective and combative tactics.
